Minister of Finance
Theodore Pelagidis is the acting Minister of Finance (Hellenic Republic) and the First Deputy Governor of Bank of Greece (on leave). He is Professor of Economics at the University of Piraeus, Greece. He has also been a NR Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution, USA and a regular Brookings/Global webpage Op-Ed contributor. He has also served as an expert to the IMF.
Professor Pelagidis has been a NATO scholar at the CES Harvard University; an NBG fellow at the HO, LSE; and a Fulbright fellow at Columbia University. He is the co-author of Understanding the Crisis in Greece. From Boom to Bust, Palgrave 2011 & 2012 (2nd ed.), Greece. From Exit to Recovery? (Brookings Institution 2014). Who’s to Blame for Greece?
