Aikaterini Stergiou Papanatsiou
Ms. Katerina Papanatsiou is the Greek Deputy Minister of Finance since November 2016.
She was elected twice (January and September 2015 in elections) as a member of the Parliament, representing the SYRIZA party in the prefecture of Magnesia. She has been a Secretary of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Economic Affairs. As a member of the Parliament she introduced the 2017 (September 2016) State Budget draft, the Bill for tobacco products (July 2016), the Bill for the Agricultural Copartnerships (April 2016), the Bill for bringing into force: a) the 2014/107/EU and (EU) 2015/2060 Council Directives, b) the 2014/86/EU and 2015/121/EU Council Directives, c) the 2013/61/EU Council Directive (March 2016) and the Bill for the Amendment of the Income Tax Code provisions (June 2015).
She has been a member of the Parliamentary Committee on the Report and General Balance of the State and Audit of the Implementation of the State Budget, of the Special Permanent Regional Committee, as well as of the Subcommittee for the insular and mountainous areas. She is an economist (graduate of the Economics Department of the former Graduate School of Industrial Studies of Thessaloniki, now University of Macedonia). She is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece since its establishment. She has worked in the Hellenic Sidirokramata SA, as an accountant in the Agricultural Copartnership of Zagora and she was running an accounting and tax consultant office.
She was born in Almiro of Magnesia and she is married with two children. She speaks English and French.
